Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program
Data Summary FY 2004/2005 and Annual Report
The Health insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) Annual Data Report for State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2004/05 uses data collected in a variety of reports (quarterly performance, quarterly public media, and annual resources reports). Changes in reporting tools, databases, and staff contributed to some delay in reporting. Provider data for these reports are sent quarterly from HICAP provider agencies to their local Area Agency on Aging (AAA), where, in turn, they are reviewed, approved, and forwarded to the California Department of Aging (CDA).
2004/05 was the last reporting period prior to the implementation of the Medicare Modernization Act.
